Thanksgiving 2011

Kelly's post inspired me to write what I am thankful for....so many things.  It has been 1 year and 2 weeks since my surgery I have lost a total of 173.6 pounds.  Wow, that is so much, I didn't realize how overweight I was until I was able to look back.  I am thankful that surgery was a success and that I can say I have my life back.  I didn't realize how much my weight held me back.  I feel like I have no limitations.  I can fly again with out fear of not fitting in the seat or being asked to buy another seat, I fit in booths, run with Katie, put the arm rests down in the movies and don't need the seat next to me empty, ride rides with Katie and the best part is I feel so much healthier.  I can walk for miles with out getting tired.

I am also thankful for so many other things that don't have to do with my weight.  My family, that I have a job, friends, and that I am able to enjoy life.

7 Months

It's been 7 month and I'm down 132 pounds.  The time has gone by so fast.  It's definitely been and adventure, mostly easy, but have had a few issues.  (hospital for 4 days in Cozumel, Gull Bladder removed 6/8/11)

At my 6 week appointment my doctor said I would reach his goal weight in 6 months, at the time I didn't believe him.  I did reach it right on track.  Amazing!  I feel so much healthier and confident.  I can move so much better, and don't feel held back by my weight anymore.

I can now tell in pictures, here is a before picture...
and here is a picture from our recent trip to Florida in April...I'm down about 15 pounds since this picture.

This is an ongoing journey, right now my challenge is to heal from my gall bladder surgery.  (which is very painful)  Then I want to get back into exercising.
